Sometimes, the only thing you need to accessorize is a really great necklace.  Chains, pearls, glass beads, pendants…  we’ve got the necklace to fit your style.
Wear them separately or layer them up!

For someone who loves getting photos taken, I actually get really shy when Jacob takes my picture.  I don’t know why.  It’s kind of silly.
I was really excited about this dress that I bought at Cure Thrift Shop yesterday, and couldn’t help but try it on immediately and run around the apartment for a few hours… so I let Jacob take some photos.
I LOVE this dress.  Such an amazing find.  Seriously.  I’m still trying to feel it out as far as whether I’m going to make any alterations to it (i.e. cut it up and make it all bianca badass).  I might just leave it as is… it’s got that great 70’s disco vibe that would make my mother proud.

A few things come to mind when I see this photo:
Mary Kate Olsen in Nylon
Marla Singer in Fight Club
Christina Ricci’s character in 200 Cigarettes
There used to be this distinction of ‘Runway’ to ‘Real Way’.  I don’t know if it’s the times, or if it’s living in NY but I feel like these rules are a bit no holds barred.  There are girls out there who can pull off this look (and do) and the girls out there who go out with girls who can pull off this look… but it’s so easy to forget that there are the girls out there who wouldn’t ever actually SEE girls wearing this look in the flesh.  I don’t know where this is going… stream of consciousness…
Anyway, THIS is a sneak peek of one of the looks in Topshop’s a/w ‘09 Marianne Collection, inspired by 70’s groupies.  I do love the bands and I do love the 70’s, but I’m more into channelling the disco girl (i.e. Bianca Jagger).  Actually… the more I look at this picture I don’t think I could even pull off any part of this outfit.  It still looks awesome on the model tho… and probably on my friend Sass.  I guess that makes me girl B?

Finding a cute and stylish laptop bag is hard.  I’ve attempted at a few “colorful” yet functional ones in the past… but they still weren’t stylish enough for my taste.
This Jalda Cargo Computer Bag has to be the prettiest and most functional that I’ve seen.  I LOVE that shade of pink and all of those pockets (organization is key after all).
AND starting today, Jalda is hosting a Secret Sample Sale with DesignerSocial on their bags.  That price tag is just screaming for me to buy it… THEN I can start thinking about upgrading my laptop.
Check it out (as well as the other items at up to 75% off) on the sample sale site.  The sale goes from Thursday July 16th to Saturday the 18th.

DesignerSocial

Being in a recession doesn’t have to mean giving up luxury.  My former ad-director at Lucky Magazine has recently launched a new online retail platform, along with fellow industry power players- designers, editors, and fashion magazine executives.  DesignerSocial is a members only online boutique featuring a carefully edited collection of new handbags and accessories, samples, and consignment items at “to the trade” prices (like that amazing Jackie O Monogrammed Gucci bag for $890 $195…um, want it. now.)

The best thing about the site is the ability to not only purchase products by designers such as Gucci, Botkier, YSL and more, but to also trade-in/sell your luxury handbags and accessories through their sell feature.  DS creates an exclusive and secure selling environment for a private community of fashion insiders.

To apply for membership you can go to the DesignerSocial site and sign up with the email of a referring member (feel free to use bianca@biancarocksout.com).

I love that Who What Wear started doing monthly fashion features.  This month’s story, entitled Cruel Summer, is a homage to those of us who choose not to escape the city during the hot summer months, and instead embrace it.
During the hazy days of summer, when the preppy masses head to the Hamptons and the moneyed bohemians make for Malibu, the cities remain feverishly fashionable. After all, no matter how sizzling the sidewalks get, street style never takes a vacation! In celebration of this spirit—this metropolitan mettle, if you will—our July editorial shows off a few of the season’s toughest looks, accessorized with plenty of asphalt and attitude.

Yep.  I don’t really do the Hamptons or go down to the shore.  I prefer walking the streets of ny (sometimes with a crew)… doing brunch, going to the park, visiting friends in shops/bars/restaurants.  But that’s just me.
Anyway this studded leather vest is hot.

I love the way that Elizabeth & James presents their collection on their website.  At one point in my life I had spreadsheet of photos of each item of clothing that I owned.  Sort of as an inventory and to easily put looks together… it was very Clueless. This was also at a time when I had a closet with a built in organizing system (cubbies, shelves, and racks)… again, very Clueless (although it didn’t rotate).  Unfortunately NYC has not been very good to me in the closet department, but one day I will be able to have that again.
My anecdote aside, this is a great look.
I want the kimono tee in this outfit.  Deep V’s are my favorite… otherwise I just feel a little constrained (hate crew necks which is why I end up cutting t-shirts off the shoulder style).
The chain necklace keeps the deep v from looking too smutty.
Tap pants = the girly version of denim cutoffs.
Blazers and shorts are hot.
Oh… and that Pony is MONEY.
